Butterflies: In Progress Painting

I’d like to share an in progress peek at Butterflies (working title only).

Inspiration for this painting came from the symbolic meaning of a butterfly.

A butterfly is the beautiful true self, that which we are meant to become.

To me, the butterfly doesn’t really represent  the transformation, as so many wrongly attribute.

The transformation process is full of fears, pain and phases of paralysis (the chrysalis).

Transformation takes courage.

The butterfly is what what we are aiming for that carries us through the transformation phase.

Sharing my art process with you –

I don’t know where I’m going with this painting right now, or if I will even complete it.

Everything is ‘right’ – the colours, drawing, composition, etc

I feel a peace when I look at this in progress work, which indicates to me everything will be ok.

I just cannot see how to develop it properly, at this time.

I am sharing my thoughts and art process with you.

I am not looking for reassurance, compliments or suggestions.

For this reason, I have disable comments on this post, .

Suggestions?

Yes there is always someone who thinks they are in a position to tell me HOW to make MY art!

My art comes from within, that is the voice I listen to.

It’s such an intensely private thing, I guess I’m disabling comments so my inner voice is the only one I hear.

Have a great weekend.
