I paint what I love, live, dream.  My figurative work has been described as uplifting, joyful and healing.  I am just the hands that channel the paint.

I grew up with two talented artists.  I was surrounded by original paintings & scuplture, art materials, sketchbooks and biographies of fine artists.

I’ve always been able to draw, painting was a natural progression.  I began with watercolours, because I love the vibrancy and beauty.  My mixed media work,  is predominantly oil & collage.

Where I’ve lived and where I was born aren’t as important to me, as who I’ve become.

I have over 14 years experience teaching art.  This includes running workshops and courses for West Suffolk College, The Workers Educational Association, MIND, Age Concern, Centre Parcs and privately.

I love the rain.  I have two cats and a horse.  I thrive in on the peace & quiet, living in rural England.

Artist’s Philosophy…

The knowledge and skills you have achieved are meant to be forgotten so you can

float comfortably in emptiness, without obstruction.  Bruce Lee

This quote from Bruce Lee applies equally as well to art as it does to marital arts.    We must completely master the use of our materials, painting and drawing skills to the point where their execution is without thought or effort.  When we have reached that level of mastery, we are then able to channel our inner creativity and begin to create art as opposed to merely creating a picture.
